ABOUT BUTTON MASALA
It is a simple joinery system, which replaces sewing from the clothing or home furnishing. The technique involves only buttons and rubber bands. It is pretty much like tie and dye technique but done with rubber bands. Button masala is a very quick construction method, possibly the cheapest in the world and the greenest for the environment. Each product can be recycled and restructured by simply removing the buttons and putting them in another place. The technique is also used to make carpets, bags, jewelry, shoes and many other useful products. What is nice is that that everyone can use the technique. The technique is easy to be taught and is an open source. It's already been taught to almost 20000 people across countries like Holland, Sweden, Germany, Srilanka, South Africa, Uganda, Denmark, Bangladesh, France and India.

Please have a look at TED X video of Button Masala and also visit button masala page on Facebook to understand its simplicity. The links are attached below:

Bamboo Electric Bicycle V4

Prototyped after research of almost a decade, the Mianzi V4 e-bike, with its nifty polygamy of design, technology, and sustainability, introduces a thoughtful organic solution to urban mobility. The evocative character of the city e-bike transcends the challenges of urban transport with its distinct bamboo frame. Handmade from specific parts of carefully chosen structural bamboo, the frame is efficiently designed with the natural form of bamboo carved through CNC. The pure tensegrity structure of this e-bike forms a system that employs steel cables (traction) and rigidity of bamboo, to make it capable of acting under the intrinsic stresses (traction and compression) together and simultaneously, giving greater resistance and formal stability. This creates an interconnected structure that works biologically like muscles and bones, where one element strengthens the other. The geometry and the low bottom bracket facilitate an ergonomically comfortable ride. The frame incorporates aluminum components, thus making the e-bike lightweight and easy to maneuver yet solid and durable. This customizable City Commuting bike flaunts a comfort geometry that exploits bamboo cavities to accommodate the battery, sensor, etc., thus giving an extra layer of protection to them; and is quick and easy to assemble. It also facilitates riders with comprehensive services and protection including GPS tracking, theft alert, movement detection software, automatic unlocking, assist mode.

EmPads: Empowering Women through Pads

As a chemical engineering graduate with a passion for sustainability and social impact, I drew from my childhood experiences of wearing factory-reject clothing and witnessing my classmates miss school to found EmPads to tackle the grand challenges of period poverty and textile waste. EmPads are reusable, multilayered cloth pads made from free to very low-cost textile waste from the fast-fashion industry. Our simple, effective, nonprovocative pattern is made from cotton and polyester fabrics, readily available in Indian markets. Layers of cotton bedsheet and towel waste allow for maximum absorption, and a backing polyurethane layer [commonly used in reusable diapers, hospital beds, outdoor equipment], provides leakproof protection. We feature three designs: Elia (regular pad), Ema (washcloth-style) and Eva (with removable inserts) that fold into a discreet pouch for easy transport and storage of soiled pads. Ema and Eva are cultural responses to women who need to wash and dry their pads in the open without fearing embarrassment. Darker colours and bold patterns are utilized to mask any residual stain. Upon sourcing the proper clothing through brand partnerships, fabrics are cut and assembled into desired shape by trained lower-income women who are compensated ethically. After use, pads can be soaked, washed normally, and dried in the sun. Lastly, our packages are cloth bags containing 3 pads and a bar of soap to enforce good menstrual hygiene practices, that are supplied through partner NGOs' networks to empower and enrich women's lives. Please join me in implementing a solution that is long overdue.

Paiwand

Paiwand

Paiwand is a unique textile studio that upcycles and recycles textile waste from fashion brands, design houses, and export houses using handloom weaving as a medium. We follow a circular model to create our products ensuring that waste doesn't reach landfills. The project, In Transit, celebrates the journey of textile waste and believes that even the upcycled or repurposed form is a part of the journey and not the final destination. The collection challenges the conventional norms of textile design while focusing on the importance of craft and the need for sustainability. The project uses a variety of textile scraps like cotton, silk, crepe, and leather to create conscious clothing. It also features different silhouettes and styles to highlight the versatility of upcycled products. The textiles are a modern interpretation of traditional craft practices. Handloom weaving has been revived in a new light by using textile waste raw material. Traditional weaving techniques like Jamdani (extra weft) weaving has been used to create interactive patterns. The white and black color story has been used to create different patterns as black and white are the most commonly available waste around us and it also gives a scope of reproducibility an upcycled collection.

SCHORL - Triboelectric non-woven engine intake air filter media

In an internal combustion engine, if the air molecules are charged in the air-fuel mixture, it would lead to better combustion and efficiencies. Our solution: The air filter media itself charges the air molecules. The first step was to identify material that ionized due to friction. We identified negative ion clothing which is sold mostly for the health benefit of the wearer, could also ionize the air molecule. As a proof of concept, we layered up the woven negative ion cloth to make an air filter. Once the results were promising, we moved the air filter industry standards, identified triboelectric material fibres and their surface treatment chemicals to optimize the air ionization. We needle punched the fibres into non-woven filter media, thus developing the first prototype.

UNALOME

UNALOME

Unalome. Symbolism. Hope. As parallel as these words, is the inspiration and execution of our Unalome collection. The Unalome is a Buddhist symbol, featuring a single line that spirals, twirls and ends in a straight line. Although simple in appearance, the Unalome holds within it the entire philosophy of human existence and the unique path of life. Such simplicity and philosophy form the root of our collection, which is depicted using lines – minimal and loud; uneven and straight. Just as life. By way of this handcrafted Unalome collection, we have used lines as a symbol to convey and signify that each person's path in life can be straight, rough, winding and can be filled with anxiety, fear, happiness or love, however, it all leads to an individual's transcendence from the cycles of suffering. To achieve this collection, we have consciously not adopted the use of any chemicals or dyes in the process. Each piece is hand-painted and is one of a kind. The base fabric is 100% handwoven cotton, with self-textures. Sustainability is at the core of our design practices and work. We ensure that all our fabrics are made by fair trade local artisans and by adhering to conscious water and waste management practices.

A Bar, A circle, A Detour

'A Bar, A Circle, A Detour' is a minimally designed gender neutral jewellery collection of 24 karat gold plated reclaimed brass and handcrafted authentic Indian leather. 2. Concept: Each of the gold plated brass pieces is a simple geometric shape that, when combined with its leather trappings, forms a multitude of compositions. Every jewellery in this collection is a "Do-It-Yourself project" consisting of detachable elements. These elements can be combined interchangeably to create multiple wearable design creations. 3. Production: The "multi-configurable" design concept aims to create "more" with less material. This results in not just lesser consumption of raw material but also minimal material wastage owing to simple symmetric geometric shapes. The modular nature of the jewellery simplifies the production process that involves creating only a set number of simple components made of either brass or leather. These brass modules which are machined and leather straps that are handcrafted can be easily put together into simple but elegant statement pieces by hand - thereby creating a 'DIY' experience for the buyer.

Continuum

Continuum

Continuum as the name suggests is a sequence of movement that dictates a progression in the form of a calendar to read memory. A calendar with no dates but imprints of memories. It is the translation of passage of time into an object perceived through movements and patterns. The object leaves the memory of your action of a day for the next day. The temporal relation between each of the coloured wooden blocks orchestrated by the user defines the time passed. It can literally and perceptually slow down, speed up or pause if the individual wishes. The progression is created by the individual who decides the speed and pattern of progression of the time through the year. MATERIALITY: The colourful wooden blocks are set within a black painted wooden frame representing the void in time. The wooden blocks representing each day are sourced from discarded wood waste, repurposed into beautiful, naturally coloured blocks. The repurposed block narrates the story of its life cycle thereby reinforcing the relation between human interactions with the object even before its creation. Each wooden block consists of two sides of varying colour and texture. USERS: The movement generates patterns that are both a progression of colours, textures and time. Continuum gives a joy of seeing the reflection of their actions through time. There is change and the display of the constancy of change in Continuum brings in a new landscape to interact with.

Edge Chair

The 'Edge Chair' is part of a designer furniture range called 'The Edge'. This design series aims at creating a family of furniture that is bound by the same concept, yet each piece is unique in its manifestation. The idea was to use 2-dimensional sheets of metal and make them into a 3-dimensional object that is functional, structural, and visually lightweight. Sheets of metal are cut, folded, and welded to create a single entity. The design of the chair maintains seamlessness informal expression and materiality across its different components creating a feeling of oneness.

The idea is to have a dynamic, fluid and non-definitive single surface in which each Individual user interface can be unique as opposed to a piece of furniture that comes with a pre-definition of usability. Here the object also becomes a celebration of form and movement, bordering between the realm of art and design. Technique: The bench is made using a unique wood bending technique. Two layers of wood that curve in different planes and directions has been used to achieve a doubly curved surface. The bench has been crafted using cold wood bending process to retain the form of the bentwood and keeping the thickness of the wood to the minimum, the wood has been bent in two opposite directions using layers. The double curvature helps achieve a stable form with a level of flexibility and spring effect to allow a certain degree of comfort.

Construction sites and wood workshops generate large quantities of waste and scrap wood and plywood. This collection of lamps and furniture is a result of experiments with up-cycling this waste. Small pieces of wood and plywood waste were glued together and then turned on the lathe to produce functional objects with sinuous patterns. The project is a celebration of the anatomy of plywood, its cross section which is commonly hidden. The layers of plywood, the deliberate geometry of assembly and process of wood turning produce unique patterns on the curved shapes. Plywood is one of the most commonly used materials in the construction industry. From high grade marine plywood used in shuttering for concrete to lower grades of commercial plywood used in furniture, it produces considerable quantities of waste. The project aims at re purposing this plywood waste to craft functional and unique objects for the interior environment. Given the nature of the brief, the integration of material, design and process become fundamental to the project. The kind of plywood scraps available often determines the size and assembly of the designed object. Design involves digital development of the plywood assembly to best utilize scrap pieces and create products with distinctive grain patterns. The process of wood turning on a lathe is employed to finally give form to the objects. Several experiments were carried out with the design and fabrication of small and medium objects like door knobs, handles, lamps and table legs.

Addressing the existing problems & critical issues that exist in the UI/UX of a Heart-Lung Machine that in-turn increases the time of treatment where every second is very crucial to save patients' life. The primary research was an Intense 5 days spent in the operation theatre witnessing around 8 open heart surgeries, filled with continuous observations and interactions with the user, usage, product, context. The Heart-lung machine that I have redesigned is the Maquet Heart Lung Machine hl-20. It has 3 control panels 1. System Control Panel(SCP), 2. Roller Pump Module(RPM) and 3. Cardioplegia monitor(CM). I have worked on all the 3 panels redesigning them according to user needs to drastically reduce the time and efforts of treatment where every second is very crucial to save the patient's life! The new concept- The initial wireframe (Information Architecture) of the SCP, there are unnecessary loops and frustrating jumps which made the user experience not that intuitive and increased the time of setting up the machine which is very crucial during emergencies. The new wireframe is more simplifies with very few complexities and has reduced the time drastically which will be very helpful during emergency surgeries.

Fiber Flats - Material Exploration

Drawing inspiration from the existing elaborate biodiversity in nature, this skin-like material has been developed over a period of years for use in interior spaces. Handcrafted using fruits and vegetables, they have been made in over forty varied patterns and textures inherent in the raw material itself. Lighting, portioning screens, furniture and wall art are some of the applications where this material can be used. The process of making begins with slicing the fruits and vegetables in a sectional manner. These are then chemically treated to avoid decay and then arranged and dehydrated to get a sheet like form of the desired shape and size. These can also be moulded to get varied forms. Utmost care has to be taken at every stage of its making to decreasing wastage and prevent moisture retention. The entire process takes about 15-25 days depending upon weather. With a unique visual appeal of patterns and textures of these fiber flats, this design is an attempt to capture and preserve the essence of nature in all its glory. It also tries to merge hand processes with machinery to create a physical expression that is paradoxically multi-layered - minimal and chaotic, monochromatic and colourful, temporal and lasting. The hand production of the fiber flats ensures that no two pieces are alike hence making every application unique in its own way.

Innovation Quotient Test for VASCSC

"Every student is unique in their way. But how do we select a few from thousands of students based on their innovation capabilities? Studio Carbon, in collaboration with Vikram A Sarabhai Community Science Centre (VASCSC), designed a screening test and trigger creativity among school children. The brief was to design an entrance exam for Young Science Innovators (YSI) Fellowship by Vikram A Sarabhai Community Science Center (VASCSC). The fellowship empowers 20 deserving and passionate students from Government schools by training young innovators to solve real-life problems in society. The challenge was to test the qualitative aspects of a student such as creativity, curiosity, and resilience objectively without tarnishing the confidence of children in themselves. We reframed the brief as the test being a way for students to explore their creativity rather than screening to be passed. This test is an outcome of our two-year-long systemic research on Quality of Life. Through our research we identified that to test the innovation capabilities of an individual, the following qualities need to be measured: Curiosity Resilience Love/Empathy Creativity Thinking Style Personality Type/Nature Thought Process/Attitude The test was designed in two stages with a simple yet powerful at-school screening first screening and a written and activity-based second test designed to help students discover new ways of looking at the world & thinking. The evaluation was a secondary output. We were pleasantly surprised by how our design helped change the attitudes of not just students but also teachers.

Self-Eye Dropper

Many people are dependent on others to put eye drops and even if they put it on their own, there is a high chance of its wastage and this also takes time. So, the Self-Eye Dropper facilitates the self-administration of eye drops precisely and efficiently. It is a device with a mirror aligned at a certain angle. It fits on to the neck of eye drop bottles. In the mirror one can clearly see the eye drop bottle and one's eye and aim perfectly to instill the eye drops without missing the target. The prototype is 3D printed and I plan to make it using recyclable plastic. I suffered an allergy in my eyes due to the solder fumes while soldering wires of a circuit. The ophthalmologist prescribed some eye drops which I had to instill in my eyes thrice a day. I had to seek help every time while instilling the eye drops which made me dependent. Sometimes when no help was available, I had to hold the bottle over my eye and I often missed the target! This ignited an idea in my mind, and I designed the Self-Eye Dropper which is simple to use and affordable. What makes it unique is its accuracy and precision in self administration of eye drops. It is very efficient and makes the process faster and independent. It can be used by people of ages and is user friendly.

Purpose I took up gardening when the pandemic hit. Facing the dilemma of the amount and frequency of watering, I started to read up on the correct way to water plants. "Clay pot" irrigation – discovery of a concept thought to have originated in Africa about 4000 years ago that uses the porous nature of unglazed clay pots that allow osmotic pressure to draw the water into the soil, assuring a constant flow of water directly to the roots without evaporation. A strong believer in traditional processes that help us live mindfully, my ceramist mind began to think of the properties that make clay objects a gentle and sustainable part of our culture and rituals - the terracotta "matka" for water storage and earthen cookware to name a few. Experiments – Prototyping I began to re-interpret the idea with experiments and prototypes with varieties of terracotta clay. Wheel thrown products "bisqued" and finally fired at 1000 degrees Celsius for strength and adjusted porosity. Collection: Neera-vaari is an easy-to-use indoor gardening collection to make the watering of plants easier and more efficient that also offers the advantage of passive watering while you are away The debut range (launching: 20th Sept) consists of four products: 1. Dvipa (large hydrating planter insert) 2. Shanku (Small hydrating planter insert) 3. Dharaka (Glazed planter that nests a Shanku) 4. Bhumi (hydrating pot for large planters or garden beds)

Patients surviving loss of part of the face due to trauma or surgical removal of tumour, face even bigger challenge due disfigurement of the facial appearance/ void. This makes the patient recluse and withdraw from society- losing the social presence, livelihood and reason for living. This is a big blow for the individual, the family & the society overall. A prosthesis or artificial body part helps in filling for the void/ missing feature. Conventionally, building highly customized facial prosthesis is a job for specialist who hand-crafts the pattern and mold for the missing part of face that should match the contours, symmetry, skin color and features. This custom crafting entails significant cost and time investment- for the patient and for the doctors. Also this being a specialist job, this is limited to larger hospital in big cities- the patient needs to travel to multiple time to avail this treatment. Altreal team has innovated a digital design and manufacturing solution that can cut down all the constraints- making it easily accessible and at affordable prices for patients from anywhere in the world.

Behavioural Change Campaign for Better Nutritional Habits in Tribal Araku, India

Therefore Design collaborated with Piramal Swasthya, to provide design solutions that would facilitate better healthcare communication between on-ground caregivers, and the beneficiaries of 3 tribal belts in the Araku Valley of Andhra Pradesh. Through varied culturally appropriate touchpoints, we sought to change mindsets and empower the beneficiaries to focus on best practices for maternal and infant nutrition. We used relatable metaphors like agrarian/ crops motifs to indicate children's growth and good health in the 'height-weight charts, and also developed a visual language, inspired by local crafts and customs like the 'kolam', a traditional decoration that adorns both doorsteps and woven-fabric borders. We offset the lack of standard measuring devices by integrating traditional and acceptable forms like a fist or a bangle, into the narrative. From a hanging medical toolkit to a floor mat that educates on the importance of a balanced diet, we designed interventions that would seamlessly fit into prevalent living contexts. To create agents of change, we designed a storybook with dos and don'ts, enabling children to be active advocates and bring about change in family behaviour.

Under the umbrella of our Social Enterprise, the project, our project named "EcoSocial Livelihoods for an EcoSocial Planet" is an initiative of UPCYCLING single-use and non-recyclable waste plastic bags/polybags and multi-layered wrappers, into handwoven fabric, using the Indian traditional CHARKHA and HANDLOOM. The process of weaving is entirely manual, thus enabling Livelihoods for our Tribal and Rural Women and Youth. The UPCYCLED-HANDWOVEN fabric is used to make products such as handbags, fashion accessories, office utilities and home decor products, for the Conscious Consumer. The original colors of this waste plastic is retained. No new dyes and pigments are used. For the purpose of enabling EcoSocial Livelihoods, our project is located in a tribal village in Dadra Nagar Haveli, based near the western coast of India. Our current production work employs 12 tribal women and 7 urban artisans fulltime; thus supporting 19 underprivileged families, directly. We plan to launch more such decentralized units in other locations too! In addition to upcycling waste plastic bags, we take the extra effort to use other types of waste such as yarns made of PET bottles, waste flex banners (PVC), bubble wraps, waste foam and textile waste, as add-ons for our products such as belts, inner lining, padding and so on.

Diti - Lamps Of Channapatna

This project focuses on the journey of how we developed a modern table lamp, by exploring and exploiting the famous, traditional, woodworking, craft culture of the Channapatna district, in Karnataka. The toy market of Channapatna is going stagnant due to the uproar of cheaper, plastic products in the market. These lamps were designed to show the versatility of the craft, to sustain and build the appeal for handicrafts in the younger generations We collaborated with the artisans into creating, building new forms, which were never explored or tried before. The lamps were built using the raw materials available in Channapatna. We inculcated modern technology as a design necessity, making it more functional while also enhancing its value. Still, at a nascent stage, this project has opened a lot of opportunities and possibilities for the craft and the local craftsmen. One of the major objectives of this project was to uplift the livelihood of the craftsmen of Channapatna. The demand for wooden toys has fallen enormously, through this project we try to increase the richness and show some light on the craft, by modifying the toys into many relatable products that may sustain for long and eventually help the craft to grow further.

Lifebox

The inability to move hearts from donor to recipient is the primary cause for an abysmal heart transplant rate in India. LifeBox tackles this problem with a system that extends preservation time of the heart to allow for increased travel time and distances. The project has its genesis at IISc Bangalore, with a vision to explore drones as a transport channel for organs. Extensive stakeholder interactions and literature study quickly helped us realize that without active preservation techniques, drones will not do much to improve the rate of heart transplants in India. This led to a shift in focus: A portable system that can extend the out-of-body viable time of the heart. There are two sub-systems within the device: cooling and perfusion. A peristaltic pump drives the perfusion fluid from a reservoir to the heart which is housed within a chamber. It is equipped with multiple sensors that track biomarkers indicative of heart health. The heart in this setup is only intermittently perfused and does not beat. The cooling sub-system utilizes a refrigerant, over which air is blown to cool it. The system is feedback controlled using temperature sensors and maintains hypothermic temperatures (4-8 degree Celsius). This impedes heart metabolism, which in turn prevents damage. The user can control and monitor all necessary parameters via a touchscreen on the device. This also serves to inform the user in case of any alerts/warnings. Data is also transmitted in real time to the recipient site so that the surgeon can prepare accordingly.

Shreyasa' Dignity Dinnerware

View Submission

Shreyasa' Dignity Dinnerware

The inspiration came from personal experience and observation through being a caregiver to an ALS patient in the family. 'Shreyasa' means offering goodwill. The simple act of being able to eat on one's own in a dignified and comfortable manner gives a sense of freedom and confidence to people with affected motor functions. Since these people find it difficult to scoop food into their mouths while eating from standard plates and bowls, we designed a functional and aesthetic dinnerware set of 3, for those suffering from weak grip or hand tremors in old age or diseases like ALS, MND, Parkinson, Cerebral Palsy etc. Apart from improving the mental wellbeing of the patient through the feeling of independence the acting of eating by themselves also greatly frees up the time of the harried caregiver. After trials we found that they are used effectively by children as well and the aesthetics and functionality appeals to normal people too. The 'Shreyasa' dinnerware set comprises of a standard size dinner plate, a small deep plate and a bowl. The three sizes suffice all variety of food preparations and consistency. • The edges are raised inwards on one side and assists in scooping up the food and avoid any spillage. • The raised side also helps guide the spoon through the trajectory of motion to the mouth. • These will be manufactured in a variety of conventional materials like Ceramics, Porcelain, Stainless Steel, Opal Glass, Stoneware, silverware and food grade plastic etc.

  4. The Lexus Design Award India 2022 seeks to reward the best practices in Industrial Design. Industrial Design is defined as the design of products and product systems that are intended for mass manufacture and consumption by end-users or customers. This award will not consider products that are intended to be components and subsystems of larger products. For instance, the design of a home appliance like a vacuum cleaner is a valid entry. But the design of the motor that powers the vacuum cleaner is not a valid entry. For more details, refer to the awards categories.
  5. To be eligible for consideration, the entry must be submitted in the relevant category. We do understand that sometimes products fit into multiple categories, and therefore entrants are allowed to enter a single design work in a maximum of three sub-categories. Furthermore, we also understand that some design work may not fit into any of the categories defined by the Lexus Design Award India 2022. To encourage and enable design work of all kinds, the Lexus Design Award India 2022 has an Open Category. The Open Category will consider design work that is deserving but defies categorization.
  6. All entries must be submitted in the entry format that is described in the entry process. We welcome innovation in the way entries are submitted. i.e. While the Lexus Design Award India 2022 entry process defines certain fixed guidelines for companies/individuals to submit their entries; you are also free to add extra information in any format you choose. For instance, you could make a short fiction film that showcases your product/system or maybe send us an actual sample of your product for the jury to use and experience.
  7. All entries must be submitted on or before the entry deadline. The entry deadline for the Lexus Design Award India 2022 is September 15 2021.
  8. All entries must be accompanied by a self-certification letter written and signed by the entrant. This letter should state the following:
    1. That the entrant is indeed the principal designer of the submitted entry
    2. That all details entered are accurate to the best of the entrant's knowledge
    3. If the project is commissioned by a client, then the name of the client is to be mentioned unless restricted by non-disclosure agreements
    4. If the project is self-commissioned or self-initiated (i.e. there is no client) then the self-certification letter should state this clearly
    5. If the project is neither client-commissioned nor self-commissioned, then a short note explaining the nature of the project is to be included with the entry
    6. If the submitted work was part of a joint design effort between the entrant and other design/non-design entities, then the other entities should also be mentioned with details of their (the other entities') contribution to the submitted design.
  9. Avoidance of conflict of interest: Lexus is engaged in the business of the design, manufacturing, and sale of cars. To avoid obvious conflicts of interest, the Lexus Design Award India 2022 will NOT consider any entries related to automobile design in any category. This includes all types of automobiles including, but not limited to, two-wheelers, cars, and transport and commercial vehicles.
  10. Definition of mass manufacture: Lexus Design Award India 2022 defines mass manufacturing in multiple ways. Mass manufacture could mean:
    1. The design is intended for manufacture on a national or global level. This could mean the design is manufactured by the hundreds, thousands or more
    2. The design is intended for small-batch manufacture. This could mean that the design is manufactured in tens or hundreds
    3. The design is intended for manufacture of single pieces over multiple instances. An example of this could be a piece of furniture that is intended to be handmade or machine-assisted handmade but is made in one or two pieces at a time
    4. Products that are mass-produced by industrial processes, but hand-finished for craftsmanship reasons
  11. If any entrant or potential entrant is of the view that their design work does not conform to the above criteria but should still be considered for the Lexus Design Award India 2022, please do write to us at contact@LDAIndia.com and give us your reasons. We would be happy to engage with you to understand more about your work and its eligibility.
  12. The Award is open to professionals, students and design enthusiasts from every part of India ("Entrant" or "Entrants") and only to individuals who have reached the age of majority in their jurisdiction of residence at the time of entry. Minors and individuals who have no or only limited legal capacity may not participate.
  13. Employees of Toyota Motor Corporation, LEXUS International ('Sponsor'), designboom srl ('Producer') and each of their respective parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, distributors (collectively, the 'Contest Entities'), and each of such employees', immediate family members and/or those living in the same household (whether legally related or not) are not eligible to enter the Contest or win a prize.
